A lithe, black and orange tortoiseshell with a white chest and green eyes.
APPEARANCE
Newtsong is a tall but slim cat, contributing to a graceful appearance. Her tail is long and a little fluffier than the rest of her fur, and her face is rounded in shape. Her pelt is black and orange, almost evenly divided between the two colours, which mix to form a tortoiseshell pattern, which is best described as fluffy, rather than short or long. It is this unique fur pattern that gave her the prefix of Newt. Her eyes are a mossy green, with flecks of yellow around the edges that seem to make them glow in the sunlight. She possesses unusually long whiskers, which aid her senses.

PERSONALITY

Newtsong is the type of cat with a silver tongue – clever and has a way with words, she often uses to slip out of trouble. She loves all kinds of stories, and takes no greater delight in weaving complex tales and living them herself. She is carefree, and in that regard, mischievous and rebellious – not necessarily to deliberately cause harm, but to simply experience things, as she is one of the most curious cats anyone could meet. In what seems to sharply contrast with her rebellious streak, she is caring, friendly and optimistic who ‘loves to love’, so to speak. This extreme kindness may get her into trouble sometimes, being too trusting of others. Newtsong, in spite of this, often appears distant to others, as if she’s in another world – and that can be explained by the simple fact that she is a dreamer – always thinking of endless possibilities, opportunities, things to be curious about – though this also accounts for how she can be short-sighted and not think ahead to consequences. She follows her heart, always, whether she be helping out, telling stories, or simply daydreaming.
HISTORY
Newtsong was born to two Ferryclan warriors, Tarfoot and Rustfang, in a litter of two. Her sibling was a she-cat named Leafkit. She got along well with her and would consider her her best friend to this day. However, she did not feel the same connection with any of the other kits in the nursery, and would often sneak out and explore.
When she came of age, she was given the name Newtpaw and was entrusted to a warrior named Cindertail. Try as he might, it seemed impossible to get the young apprentice to focus during training - she seemed far more interested in exploring, sneaking off and telling stories. It was around this time that she found herself with another sibling - the young Copperkit, the only kit of her parent's second litter.
But Cindertail was not to let himself be outsmarted by her, and realised how she could put these skills to use as a scout like him. Once Newtpaw learned of her future, she became more interested in her training, seeing it as an opportunity to explore. She proved herself a skilled scout, and earned her warrior name shortly after her sister, now named Leafpatch, at the age of 15 moons. Throughout her apprenticeship and into her days as a warrior, Newtsong still regularly went for walks around her surroundings, often just to think.
