The events are on!
You may begin posting event threads in the special boards once you have read through this post.
Leaders should post a thread to kick off the events, but until they do, everyone is still welcome to post threads of their characters doing parts of the holidays or challenge.
Here are the holidays for each clan:
The Race
Waveclan every spring likes to test the speed of their warriors and the cunning and ingenuity of their apprentices. During this event, teams of one apprentice and one warrior, work together to find an item which stay floating in the air for as long as possible without hitting the ground.
At the end of the day as the sun is getting close to setting, the clan will gather at a small copse of trees. Each apprentice warrior combo will set up, and the apprentice will have to climb the tree and release their item. Once the item are realeased, the warriors take off, to see who can make it the furthest in the amount of time it takes for their item to drop to the ground. The skywatchers are the referees, their keen eyes knowing exactly when an item has hit the ground, they will call out a warriors name once thier item has hit. The whole clan is watching, and so they can tell if a cat is cheating, which would disqualify them.
Egg Festival
On Easter every year, when the bells toll throughout the territory, and particularly from the area of the STone Grove, Ferryclan has a festival. In the days before and the day of, they search the streets for the little brightly colored plastic eggs, as well as the colorful cooked eggs. Apprentices are usually accompanied by a warrior to ensure they do not get lost, but for the most part the clan spreads out over the territory looking for bright and colorful trinkets to add to their collections. The biggest and most popular search is in the Stone Grove, but it can be dangerous to go near there when there are so many humans around. Only the most charming gatherers will try it.
At the end of the day, all the edible eggs are gathered in the center of the camp structure, as well as whatever other food was snatched or hunted along the way (not chocolate, the clan is very careful to teach kits and apprentices that chocolate is poisonous), and the clan shares the bounty.
The Bloom
Similar to spring cleaning, everyone in the clan helps clean out the entire camps nests, and the day consists mostly of dragging moss around, but also gathering flowers and fragrant plants like lavender and thyme, so as to make the camp fragrant and fresh. Sometimes cats will try to twist the flowers into long fur (since many carry the trait). It is also said to be an ideal time to slip away as mates for a few hours together. There's a reason so many more kits are born in Greenleaf. Then the warriors and apprentices go out at dusk to hunt and the clan has a midnight feast under the eyes of their ancestors.
Each leader has a right to interpret the festival in their own way, but these are the most common activities of the day.
