[li]Description-[/li]
A big and muscular substantial body type tom with an orange tabby coat, white from his muzzle to his belly, paws and tail tip. Golden eyes.
[li]Appearance-[/li]
Foxkit is quite bulky and big for his age, especially if compared to the rest of the kits of FerryClan, and this makes playing with other kits a bit challenging, as he fails to understand correctly that he is stronger and heavier than them, which leads to the occasional accidental injury during their play-fights. This is because of his father’s genetics, though most of his looks are his mother’s. He has a short coat of a shiny orange with slightly darker stripes which almost blend in with the base color. His muzzle, neck, chest and belly are of a spotless white, a color that he also has on his tail tip, front paws and going up a bit more on his hind legs. His eyes are of an impeccable golden color, reason why his mother usually likes to compare them to the sun itself.
[li]Personality-[/li]
+ Brave: From a very young age, Foxkit has shown to be fairly brave. He’s the kind of kit that tries to challenge older cats, even warriors if possible, to play-fights. It is true that given his lack of actual understanding on how the world works thanks to his young age may influence a bit these actions. If it wasn’t for the restrictions of the Warrior Code, he would’ve tried to leave camp by then to look for adventures of his own and prove he is destined to be a great warrior one day, and maybe even try to fulfill some of the dreams of his father by taking down the mighty predator he was named after.
+ Strict Moral Code: Heavily influenced by his father, he quickly formed an extremely strict moral code from his young age, based on the warrior Code itself. He is unaware of his own father’s betrayal and his own roots, and just thinks of him as a great warrior of Ferryclan. He can be just as strict as any warrior of RootClan on this subject and even start a debate with other cats about the subject if they question his point of view, though still struggles a bit to fully understand how to apply this moral code to his life given FerryClan’s more relaxed ways.
; Ambitious: He pursues success and recognition in everything he does, aiming to the highest he can be and his own self-improvement and sometimes even forgetting that actions that may grant him what he desires may end up harming others or bring undesired consequences. He needs to be guided so this currently neutral trait doesn’t evolves on a negative one, or maybe even make it evolve into a positive trait on the long run.
- Explosive: His temperament is surprisingly explosive, causing him to go into fits of blind rage from time to time if the right buttons are pushed. While angry he will rarely listen to those around him and is more than willing to solve the conflict through claws and teeth, and be warned, in this state he rarely can control his own strength. It is wise to give him space to let him calm down, and, if the fit goes on for too long or is imperative to force him to calm down to avoid having him do something stupid, to try and pin him down and force him to hear even if it means screaming right on his ears or hitting him a couple times so he snaps out of it.
- Blunt: He is known to be really direct and honest when he speaks, to the point of almost being rude or plain cruel at times. He doesn’t really aims to hurt any other cat’s feelings most of the time, but that’s just the way he is and can’t really control what he says until the words already left his muzzle. He knows he should try to soften his ways of speaking, but given how he considers sugarcoating words or white lies as nothing but a way to hide the truth and cause more harm than good in the long run he can’t bring himself to do so.
[li]History-[/li]
To fully understand Foxkit’s background is necessary to go back on time way beyond when he was born, to the point where his parents were only apprentices. His father, a tom with golden eyes named Bearstorm, was one of the cats on RootClan that took pride on the Amber gene showing on all its glory on his pelt, but also carried another worse gene on him that showed in all its glory, gigantism. The mother, a she-cat with green eyes named Gingerface, being a ginger tabby of FerryClan with several white patches on her fur. They found each other on the border once, and it would be fair to say that it was love at first sight even if both denied it at first.
Moons passed, and their “coincidental” meetings on the border became more and more common, though it still took them long enough to admit these were starting to become intentional. The beautiful she-cat was the only cat the Bearstorm knew that never put at tag on him given his illness, nor looked down upon him after it started to assault him with its symptoms. In the end, against all what he had been taught, he took her as his mate.
They managed to keep this as a secret for some time, but in the end they were found out and confronted for it. Much for their bad luck, the warrior that had discovered them was from RootClan. In mix of panic and anger brought upon him by the accusatory words of his clanmate, Bearstorm attacked and injured them, but couldn’t kill them thanks to his moral code even if he was really close. He knew what would come right after, and though part of him wanted to go back to the clan and face the consequences of his actions, he couldn’t leave Gingerface behind, especially not now, not with her pregnant with his kits. With his head low and guilt heavy on his chest, he ran away with her, exiling himself while he had the time.
The battle with his clanmate not only had sealed his fate, but had also brought heavy consequences to his already crippled health, so by the time he reached his mate’s clan and was granted refuge after carefully masking his story, he was near to critical condition.
It was only some sunrises after these events that Foxkit and his sister, Morningkit, were born. He was named by his father, while his sister, who was born as a tortoiseshell, was named by his mother. During his first moons, he spent a lot of time around his big dad, as he liked to call him, and he passed down his moral code to his son though being even more strict on his teachings in fear of him committing the same mistakes of his past, and also hiding his own past from him alongside his mother to avoid staining the idea that the kits had formed about his father with the betrayal of his past.
At first both were fairly concerned with the quick growth of Foxkit, as they feared the illness of his father had been passed down and he would have the same painful symptoms he was dealing with at the time that threatened to cut his life short, however were relieved once it started to control itself and, even if he was indeed growing at a somewhat faster growth than any other kit, his own sister included, he was definitely not growing fast enough for him to be ill. The gene was messing up with him a bit, it was clear, but it would never let him reach the size of his father. He would never have to suffer like he did.
A moon or so later, his father finally succumbed to the symptoms of his illness, something the medicine cats had already warned them that would happen given how fast his health was worsening with no way to help him. It was a though hit for the Foxkit, but it also made him take his father’s teaching and dreams more seriously, from the moral code to the wish he had of him becoming strong enough to fight a fox one day and win the battle.
