Description
A pale amber cat with sand-colored tabby marks, white spotting, and bright green eyes.
Appearance
Palepaw, while having a substantial build, isn't as big as the average Norwegian Forest Cat. On the other hand she is in no way small, and her long fluffy fur makes up the small difference in size anyways.
The coloration of her pelt is very unique, most of it being a pale peach color. Other than her main sandy-amber coloration Palepaw's pelt is broken up by faint, darker tabby markings as well as white-spotting covering her from her chin down the front of her chest and across her belly.
Her other notable feature is her bright green eyes.
Personality
[Caring, Devoted, Persuasive, Hard-Working]
[Proud, Inquisitive]
[Prejudiced, Assertive]
Palepaw has always been an extremely caring cat with a strong devotion to Starclan and the Ancients.
As a kit, Palepaw could be extremely annoying, constantly asking questions and getting under paw trying to 'help'. While she has become far less annoying she is still helpful to anyone who needs it and has a strong sense of curiosity.
When Palepaw became a medicine cat apprentice, [MedcatNameHere] had her work cut out for her. Palepaw would often work herself into exhaustion and could be very blunt. While still often overworking herself, Palepaw has become quite eloquent during her moons as an apprentice. While still inquisitive she knows when the right time to ask a question is and when to hold back. As she has grown older she has cultivated a sense of pride in herself and her clan and has taken on the usual Rootclan prejudices, though she doesn't act rude or spiteful in light of them.

History
Ivyclaw and Emberheart were honestly the least likely couple. The two constantly butted heads as apprentices and continued to do so as warriors. The sudden change happened when they both lost a parent at the same time to a coyote. Brought together in their grief the two ended up becoming close friends and eventually mates. Moons passed and while the two talked about having kits they never made a decision one way or another. Eventually though, the couple decided to try for kits. Their attempts a success the three kits were born right before winter truely started though thankfully the winter was mild that year.
During Emberheart's month of isolation, she and Ivyclaw decided that their kits names would all start with S to honor the parents they lost. And so, when they were one month old, Shadekit, Smokekit, and Sorrelkit were presented to the clan.
Shadekit doesn't much remember the first two months of her life but she has been assured by her mother that she was far easier to handle then. As soon as she was old enough Shadekit began escaping from the nursery, often going straight to the elder's den to hear a story or legend from one of her grandparents or the other elders. She loved the tales of great adventures and brave cats but she enjoyed the teachings of the Ancients and Starclan far more. Unlike most cats she would often have questions about the teachings, some even the elders didn't know exactly how to answer, and so she was sent to the Medicine Cat. When Shadekit first met [OLDMedcatNameHere] and [MedcatNameHere] she was in awe, even going so far as to be humbled in their presence. The two cats found great amusement in this and answered her questions, telling her that if she had more they would be happy to answer if they could.
Around the same time Shadekit hit 4 moons she decided that she wanted to do more than just sit around and listen to the elders so she started 'helping' the apprentices or the medicine cats. At first all she really did was get under-paw but eventually she did get pretty good at helping the apprentices change the bedding and the med cats sort their herbs.
Until she was 6 moons old this is how she spent her time, much to the annoyance of her sister Sorrelkit. Sorrelkit was too energetic to sit for the stories, often sneaking off halfway through to cause some type of mischief. Thankfully, Smokekit was the glue to the trio, often solving arguments and getting Shadekit and Sorrelkit to be considerate of each-other. Their apprentice ceremony came and went, Shadekit becoming Patchpaw due to her change of pet color. As they went through their first 2 moons as apprentices Patchpaw struggled with the fighting moves, hating the thought of injuring another cat.
When Patchpaw was about 8 moons old the Medicine Cat died, leaving her apprentice to take over. Patchpaw, feeling bad for the stressed and grieving cat, made sure to spend extra time helping the new Medicine Cat. Spending all that time helping the medicine cat Patchpaw came to love helping her. During that moon, her mother Emberheart, fell into the river near Oak ridge on a patrol and died. Palepaw, who had been useless to help her, realized then that what she wanted to do for the rest of her life was help heal sick and injured cats.
Sadly, when Patchpaw realized she didn't want to be a warrior and went to her siblings for advice Sorrelpaw refused to help her, feeling that Patchpaw was abandoning her just like their mother had. Smokepaw was supportive though and told his still uncertain sister to go speak with their grandparents. Maplestorm was very supportive, encouraging her to speak with the Medicine Cat and Hollyfang was very proud, assuring Patchpaw that she was[MedcatNameHere] 's best and only choice.
Convinced by her grandmother's enthusiasm and her grandfather's encouragemen Patchpaw went to [MedcatNameHere] and asked her for the opportunity to prove herself worthy of the position. Surprisingly, [MedcatNameHere] revealed that they had already spoken with the leader about it and that, once Patchpaw was proficient in fighting and hunting she could have the position if she wanted. Patchpaw felt overjoyed, realizing how badly she had secretly wanted to take the path she had chosen. Throwing herself fully into her training, with her grandmother and brother's help Patchpaw's fighting abilities quickly improved. At 10 moons old, Patchpaw had another name change that officially marked the newly named Palepaw as the Medicine Cat Apprentice.
Having prior experience helping the medicine cats Palepaw already knew most of the herbs but had no idea what they were for. Not having the best memory, Palepaw put all of her energy towards improving often going without sleep to further her progress. Eventually, it got to the point where [MedcatNameHere] went to Smokepaw. Confronted by her mentor and her brother Palepaw realized that she was going too far and let up a bit. Ever since she has been slowly but steadily improving, doing all she can to learn and help her clan. Over the time she and her sister have still yet to reconcile but Palepaw refuses to apologize for choosing the path Starclan chose for her. She still enjoys a close relationship with the rest of her family, all of which are very proud of her.
