A large black she-cat with long fur and green eyes. Dark red fur shows underneath her black outer fur.
[li]Appearance-[/li]
Darkflower is a large she-cat, and her thick double coat of black fur only adds to that appearance. Most of her fur is black as night, but underneath the guard hairs and the outer layers of her coat she sports a dark red colouration that she claims is a "touch of the amber" and is a sign that her kittens would have the colour-change that denotes StarClan's approval. She prides herself on her soft fur, thinking it perfect for kits to snuggle up into, and is often seen with a smile on her face around camp. Her eyes are a soft yellow-green, and she has the misfortune of not having a signle scar on her body to be proud of yet.

Darkflower can tend to come off as rather full of herself, and that's because she is. She always thinks the best of her own strengths, she is in the best clan, has the best family, and her kits will be the best kits. She in herself is of course doing the best job possible for StarClan, which in her mind is providing and teaching the next generation of loyal worshippers of StarClan to strengthen RootClan and stop riffraff like WaveClan and FerryClan from dominating the world beyond the physical one. She caught wind of the fact that RootClan has a dwindling gene pool and needs more warriors, and promptly decided that it would be her duty, nay her pleasure, to dedicate her life to rearing kits. She holds a deep respect for the cats who carry out other roles in her clan, but has felt from quite a young age that she would love to make her life that of a full-time mother.
With kits themselves, she really is an ideal maternal figure. She is gentle and caring, as well as fiercely protective of them and set so solidly in her opinions and behaviours that it would take a truly wilful kitten to defy her rules and structure. She is very chatty with other cats in the clan and loves a good social hunt, and feels deeply at home and content with who she is and what role she has chosen for herself to play.
[li]History-[/li]
Darkkit was one of two, born in a time of food restriction and hard circumstances. Her brother, the runt and only half her size, died within a week of their birth, taken too soon by a chest infection that his little body couldn't shake. So she grew up alone, and with few other kits to accompany her, as the nursery was not especially full at the time, though it rarely is. She got into everycat's business instead, sticking her nose where it shouldn't and generally being a nuisance in camp. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when she finally became an apprentice, and therefore mostly now only her mentor's problem.
Opinionated and loud, she did her poor mentor's ears in as the older she-cat tried to keep Darkpaw occupied, and after a while it worked for the most part. Darkpaw learned to fight and hunt like any other RootClan cat, and enjoyed the close-knit feeling of togetherness that the rather exclusive clan gets when they shun all cats they see as "other." She became a die-hard and zealous member of the clan, and as she got older began to become increasingly involved with the few kits in camp, latching onto the idea of them being the most important and vital part of the clan and its future success.
By the time her warrior ceremony came about, it was clear which direction the young she-cat was heading in, and her constant time in the nursery earned her the name "flower." Over her apprenticeship, she had grown close to a tom named Oakpaw, who was only a few moons older than her, and shortly after her warrior ceremony the couple began to try for kits.
