April News
Welcome to all the many new members who have joined the site in the last two weeks. I am so glad to have you all, and looking forward to see where we can go with this site!
For Starters
This weekend will be the first site event! The clans will all be holding their spring festivals/holidays, so get those characters up and ready if you want to be able to participate.
I will be ending the Grand Opening Promotion next monday, after the holiday weekend. So make sure you tally the free slots you have left, because after next monday, any new members will not be given those free slots.
However I will be keeping open the two first contests of the site for another week after next monday (or until I can figure out the currency system if that takes longer). Please if you can, try your best to do the Advertising Contest especially,
so we can get the word out there to new members! But it would also be super cool if each person submitted their own legends for the site, in our Lore Contest!
Also I am Seeking Staff!!! I cant do this alone anymore guys.
On Characters
I never expected such an explosion of members! Since Rootclan is huge, I will be asking each member who has a Rootclan cat to kill off one for every four NPCs which they have connected to their cat, and I will in fact be doing so myself. And from this point forward, I will be adding bans to Rootclan's number of NPCs per character (Maximum 3) unless the family is adopted or you are adopting from someone else. Hopefully this will cut down on the large numbers in Rootclan.
Ferryclan is open to queens and kits created without roleplay, but Waveclan and Rootclan must from now on have litters be created through posting and roleplay. There are only two exceptions to this, one with someone making a Waveclan character which I previously promised could be a queen, and two, a single surviving kit from a Rootclan litter during the winter.
If there continues to be a huge influx of new members and characters that fills up the clans with NPCs, then I will have to ban new characters (i.e. you could only create a charater you adopted from someone else), or the plot will have to start disposing of cats.
Now for Plot
So In this section I will be laying out several plot ideas which I have for each clan, and based on everyone's responses I will be putting up polls over the next few days to decide which plot lines we are going to start with next week after the holiday events. The plots will likely be a bit slow moving, but they will at least give a direction to posts.

Ferryclan
- Option 1:
Being a part of a town, it is not uncommon to become involved with humans. However, the humans have started to actively hunt cats, and several Ferryclanners have already been lost to the trappers. Outsiders come to Ferryclan for protection, as their camp is the safest. In the midst of all the chaos the clan must decide whether to stay or to move. Some wonder darkly if the whole situation isnt Saltstar's fault, after her illicit kits which mocked Starclan. (partially suggested by altias) - Option 2:
Ferryclan is getting bigger and expanding further, and outside cats are beginning to feel even more threatened, pushed out of their normal hunting range and the best areas for scavenging. A few different outside groups band together and start to attack Ferryclan patrols, trying to force them to give up territory. Eventually these cats are joined by a few former members of Ferryclan, who hold a grudge against the harsh ways of seclusion which would not allow them to return to Ferryclan even if they wanted. The outsider group eventually flees to the foothills past the burial grounds and becomes a new semi-clan/tribe. - Option 3:
Cardinalpaw is disturbing to everyone. A living symbol of his mother's dishonor, most cats avoid him, and many fear him.He has grown up with the constant reminder that he has never been wanted, that his very existence is a curse. While the enmity is never physically manifested, he still grows in hatred for the clan, and works to betray them to outside forces (spiritual or just normal cats).
Waveclan
- Option 1:
Ever since the Cherrystream incident, Waveclan has been quiet, even meek, compared to the other clans, refusing to enter into quarrels or wars. Many of the younger generation feel that their leader is cowardly and that they have been stepped on by the other clans. Some attempt to smeer their leader's reputation, and eventually one of them sets a trap to murder a cat and make it seem as if another clan did it. The cat ensnared is the leader, who loses a life, and chaos breaks loose in the clan. This one could end several ways,either in war with another clan, or all out civil war in Waveclan. - Option 2:
An odd scent has been found on Waveclan, coming from the beach. A black viscous substance has covered the sand, and dead rotting animals wash up inside it. It sticks to cat fur, but trying to clean it off only ends up getting a few cats violently sick. A Ferryclan cat lets them know that this is oil, which sometimes comes from human's cars. Most of the beach is covered, and any prey that touches the stuff becomes toxic to eat. Waveclan relies on fish from the stream (and even then are cautious), and prey from the land, and for the first time since anyone can rememberm there is a prey shortage at a time not in the winter. - Option 3:

Rootclan
- Option 1:
The clan has reached the breaking point. After the death of a full litter of four kits due to birth deformities and sickness, the clan must come to a decision. Will they continue to breed solely amongst themsevles and risk losing more kits?
Will they seek out more breedings from Waveclan or even (Starclan forbid) Ferryclan? Or will something cause them to be desperate enough to take in young cats who can be more quickly molded into warriors? - Option 2:
A nasty encounter with a raccoon left a warrior sickened and eventually ranting and raving. The medicine cats diagnose the poor tom with rabies, but before they cn kill him, he escapes into the territory. Any cat who was in contact with the tom was put in isolation and forced to swim in the lake nearby to attempt to wash off any lingering madness and sickness. Now the medicine cats must wait to see if there are any other cats who develop rabies, while enhanced patrols are sent out with extra cats and encouraged to be wary of any other infected creatures. - Option 3:
