Universal Prefix list

The prefixes accepted and recognized by all clans.

Currently a slight WIP. Originally was supposed to include all iterations for pelt color based on each specific prefix and where it came from. Anyone who wishes to volunteer to complete it may pm the admin.

As it is a slight WIP, players are allowed to contest certain prefixes, just send a pm to staff with the prefix you wish that is not on this list to make a case. The only way it will get accepted and added to the list is if: There is a clear color connotation, and any animal/plant/bird/fish must be present in North Carolina.

Accepted Suffixes
This is the list of accepted suffixes for this site, based both on canon and our unique world-building. Each suffix has different requirements in order to earn it, most of which are on top of the requirements for becoming a warrior.

Rank Specific

• Kit: Suffix given from birth until apprenticeship.
  -No requirements other than being a kit in the clan-
• Paw: Suffix given during apprenticeship.
  -No requirements beyond being an apprentice in a clan-
• Star: Suffix given to the leader of a clan.
  -Must prove themselves a capable deputy, and be accepted by Starclan to receive this suffix and the post of leader-
• Stone: Suffix given to Guardians once they have completed their training.
  -Must have completed the requirements outlined in the apprentice thread, and been approved by a previous guardian as worthy-
• Sky: Given to the Skywatchers of Waveclan.
  -Must complete the requirements outlined in apprentice thread-
• Leaf: Given to a medicine cat who is exceptionally gifted with healing.
  -Must complete medicine cat requirements, as well as a thread which challenges their healing abilities in some way, such as rediscovering or reworking a healing method, or a successful healing of a dangerously injured or sickened cat-
• Sight: Given to a medicine cat with exceptional connection to Starclan.
  -This is not a suffix to take lightly. Many -Sight cats die young, as their connection to the spiritual plane is both strong, which can be useful, and dangerous. This suffix requires permission from the staff with a clear plot and relevance in mind-

Skill Suffixes

• Whisker: A cat who is skilled at hunting.
  -Must have an extra hunting thread to earn this suffix-
• Tail: A cat known for their balance and agility skills.
  -Must complete a thread which displays these skills such as climbing, hunting on slippery stones, or evading humans-
• Foot: A cat known for their speed and endurance.
  -Must complete a thread which showcases their skills such as catching fleeing prey, running an urgent message, or running a gauntlet designed to exhaust the apprentice-
• Nose: A cat known for their skills in tracking.
  -Must complete a thread showcasing their skills, such as tracking a cat, prey or predator across a dangerous or difficult area-
• Claw: A cat known for their skills in fighting.
  -Must either participate in a battle or complete an extra sparring thread-
• Fang: A cat known for both their fighting and hunting skills.
  -Must complete both an extra hunting and an extra sparring/battle thread-
• Song: A cat skilled with storytelling and knowledgeable in clan law and history.
  -Must complete a thread with the elders, learning about clan history, as well as recite a small story, rhyme, or poem at their warrior ceremony (sent beforehand to the leader of the clan for approval)-
• Flower: A cat skilled in caring for and raising kits.
  -Must complete a thread taking care of kits, either educating them or just playing with them-
• Scale: A cat skilled with fishing.
  -Must complete a thread which involves fishing or scouring tidepools for prey-
• Stream: A cat skilled at swimming.
  -Must complete a thread in the water, be it on the ocean or the river, showcasing the cats swimming skills.-
  

Personality Suffixes

• Heart: A cat known for their strong moral beliefs.
  -Must exhibit development of these personality traits in the threads required to become a warrior-
• Storm: A cat known for their dynamic and adaptable personality, occasionally accompanied by mood swings.
  -Must exhibit development of these personality traits in the threads required to become a warrior-
• Cloud: A cat known for their calm and level-headed approach to life.
  -Must exhibit development of personality traits in threads required to become a warrior-
• Step: A cat with an animal prefix that exhibits behavior similar to their animal namesake.
  -Must have an animal prefix and must exhibit behavior or personality similar to their namesake-

Appearance Suffixes

• Fur: A short-furred cat who is too complex to be defined by any of the other suffixes.
  -A short-furred apprentice who has completed the requirements to be a warrior-
• Pelt: A long-furred cat who is too complex to be defined by any of the other suffixes.
  -A long-furred apprentice who has completed the requirements to be a warrior-
• Stripe:A cat who is known for their vivid pelt.
  -An apprentice who has completed the requirements to be a warrior and has memorable markings-
• Face: A cat who exhibits the aesthetic standards for beauty in the clan.
  -An apprentice who has completed the requirements to be a warrior and is seen as a symbol of the beauty standards in the clan-
