[/i]quiet in fact; Icepelt rarely spoke, and preferred to do so in body language or sign language. They taught Brightpaw the basics of sign language, and the two managed a good-standing relationship.

 After a few sessions of tracking down things (a feather, sniffing out a mouse in a rainstorm, and so on) Icepelt decided Brightpaw was ready to be assessed.

For her assessment, Brightpaw was to track down several pieces of prey. She put herself into action, and along the way, ended up following the scent of a coyotel at first, she froze up remembering what had happened to her previous mentor. However, she managed to shake it off and resume. She trailed it, and quickly left to alert her mentor and a few others. The older cats chased it away from the territory, and Brightpaw earned her warrior name shortly afterwards, becoming Brightnose.
